I just saw The Avengers last night and came away with the sense of seeing a great action movie with a pretty good message about working with each other, not against…a rather biblical concept!  I’m usually pretty critical of movie involving make-believe and over-the-top plot lines, but this was a classic action flick.  Although it might have been a bit confusing for those that haven’t seen Captain America, Iron Man I & II, The Hulk, Thor…or those unfamiliar with Marvel comic heroes such as Hawkeye, The Black Widow, or Nick Fury, Josh Weldon did a pretty good job filling in the blanks in limited time.  Sometimes movies try to fit too much in too little time, and that was slight the case here, but nonetheless the producers did well to bring the original six to screen life!  In terms of action, plot, acting, content, ending, and overall suitability for younger and older fans, I’d give The Avengers a 4-out-of-5 stars.

Anyhow, I got this devo in my inbox this week and thought I’d pass it along to all those teens (and anyone for that matter) who look for ways to engage current culture with the message of the gospel.
