With Christmas only a couple days away, everyone is in the gift-giving zone right about now…and that includes our friends @ YouVersion, Got Questions, Youth Ministry Media, and Youth Specialties.  Enjoy some of these freebies and resources chalk full of Christmas cheer!

FROM YOUTH SPECIALTIES– here’s a quick devotional reflection on the real reason for the Christmas story, as well as a way cool video idea from the 2011 National Youth Workers Conference in Atlanta.

“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”  Isaiah 9:6

we celebrate Jesus.
not because it’s a holiday.
we celebrate him because he is God.
and because his love for us is immeasurable
and unfathomable.
redemption is the ultimate picture of that love—
Jesus chose to die so that we might live with him forever.
and not in this forever.
but a forever in a world without pain, loneliness, hunger, death, and tears.
this Christmas, our hope and prayer is that we all might fall on our knees
and experience Jesus as our redeemer
as our Immanuel
and know his goodness
and perfect love.
What happens when you take 4000 youth workers, smart phones & cameras, a Dave Crowder Band concert and one pretty cool idea?
